It has been a very busy summer at Tiffins so far. A lot of changes are in the making, and as we move forward the future of this wonderful café is looking brighter!

Since our last blog post, we have had a ton of messages from people who want to help us. From volunteers, to workshop hosts, to friends and our lovely customers, we have been delighted with the positive feedback and comments we have received. We want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement, it truly means the world! Your voices are essential in order for this company to grow.

We have been working hard running the café and also coming up with so many exciting ideas for future events and workshops! We are always open to suggestions, so please let us know if there is something in particular you would be interested to take part in.

Paintopia Workshop

Thursday 11th September

A guided acrylic painting session, perfect for beginners or seasoned creatives! Learn something new and create something wonderful. All materials will be provided! Hosted by Lindsay.

Felt A Piggy

Thursday 18th September

6:00PM

A fun arts and crafts evening all about needle-felt! Create your own adorable little piggy, sip some fizz, nibble on treats, meet new people and share some laughs! Hosted by Caroline.

Boobie Bingo

Tiffins' 2nd Boobie Bingo event to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. Fun bingo games, prizes and of course coffee, cakes and bakes! Hosted by Caroline.

Halloween Pumpkin Workshop

Design and carve your own Halloween pumpkin! A workshop for adults, held in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. Join us for a night of creativity, fun and Halloween spirit!

An Evening with Jeanette "The Gift" Greenough

Jeanette Greenough is a gifted psychic and medium, and we are so happy to be welcoming her to Tiffins! This evening will be about holding space, sharing stories and connecting with others in a reflective, calm atmosphere. Paired with drinks and treats, this is going to be a wonderful night!

An afternoon tea filled with traditional festive delights. Warm, wintery tea blends paired with a wonderful array of Christmas treats - a perfect reason to escape the cold!

If that wasn't enough, we have also taken part in the Trinity £50 Challenge to raise funds for Trinity Hospice. We hosted a tombola last week that was really successful, so thank you to everyone who took part or donated prizes...it was very much appreciated! To round off this challenge, Caroline is hosting an afternoon tea for 5 people...all of whom have never met before. This is the epitome of what Tiffins is all about - connecting, participating and forming a bond with others who you may not have met in the normal day-to-day!

Another feature we have applied is our Talking Table. Open to everyone, this table is located on your first right as you walk into Tiffins. It's a simple idea with a big heart : if you sit at this table, you're open to a chat. Whether it's from one of our team, or another person who is also looking for company, you will be found here and listened to. The Talking Table encapsulates the support we bring to others, and a symbol of the community we wish to build. 

A "reset" is currently in development, to make this place not just a café but a community hub and a safe space for all. A retreat for those who want to escape the fast-paced world we live in, grab a pot of warm tea and take a break. We believe in a work/life balance, but sometimes you need that third place...and we want to invite you into that third place at Tiffins.
