We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new Supported Learning Group starting this January, where we’ll be learning British Sign Language (BSL) together!

Sense BSL Learn Together Group

Discover and share the joy of learning British Sign Language (BSL) in a supportive and welcoming group setting. Together, we will:

• Learn everyday BSL signs for conversations.

• Practice fingerspelling and building sentences.

• Explore Deaf culture and communication tips.

• Engage in interactive games and group activities to boost confidence.

• Share progress, support one another, and have fun!

Please note that this is a self teach group. Where we can we will have guest speakers and experienced friends! - but the focus is to share and learn from the materials that Sense send to us as a group each month and learn together and support each other. 

Perfect for beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills. Join us to connect, learn, and grow in a friendly environment!

I saw this on Facebook and having worked with Sense in the past - as a sensory officer at Blackpool council and having realised that I have forgotten most of what I know I decided to email and ask if it was ok to join as a group! I got a delightful reply and in short a positive yes!

So whether you’re a complete beginner or want to build on what you already know, or even possibly share your knowledge with us - this is a fantastic opportunity to learn in a supportive and friendly environment.
